You will definitely want to learn the science regarding Akkermansia Muciniphilia and whether or not this very specialized probiotic might be a fit for you. Global studies have revealed that this particular gut bacterium species is associated with normal weight; those who lack or have very low levels are more likely obese. But wait, there’s more! How can one anaerobic bacterium species have so many functions?: builds gut lining, immunity, produces GLP-1 naturally in sync with other bacterium, lowers insulin resistance, and LOWERS blood sugar for diabetics. Even with the published studies, remember, “results” show mean effects across a group of participants, so not everybody will respond the same. I always ask the question, well, are you deficient in this such that it might make a difference for you? DO you have diabetes, or metabolic syndrome Peter Attia interviews Colleen Cutcliffe about this important biome constituent, and how it might support weight loss.

Products: Here is the product referenced in the research: https://amzn.to/3MQo3PS (link provided for your convenience, but, you know, you can go find this on Amazon yourself for the same price as in
this link! #ad. It doesn’t cost you more and it helps support my continued research). This brand, Pendulum, is guaranteed to be produced under zero oxygen conditions (you’ll see what I mean when you listen, learn about the challenges of anaerobic production of an anaerobic probiotic strain). Another version of this formula, GLP-1 Probiotic, that is specifically designed to suppress appetite to support weight loss while shifting metabolism to keep circulating glucose managed.
You may see other products with the Akkermansia strain, or even one that is called GLP-1, but the PENDULUM brand is what I’m recommending because the research is published, and the strain is verified to be alive.
